Shipping, Cancellation &Returns Policy

CANCELLATION/CHANGE ORDER POLICY. An order may be canceled at any time without charge before it has been shipped. Once an order has been turned over to custody of a shipper, the RETURN policy applies. BASIC RETURN POLICY. Within 30 days of our shipping date, you may return any unopened merchandise in its original condition purchased from the Jackson County Museum: books in their original condition; unopened CDs, cassette tapes, DVDs, VHS tapes, and any other merchandise in new condition with original packaging except for photograph prints. Photograph prints cannot be returned.

You may return most items sold by The Jackson County Museum within 30 days of our shipping for a full refund minus a 15% re-stocking fee to cover our cost of handling, re-wrapping, and re-shelving. However photograph prints cannot be returned. We will also pay the return shipping cost if the return is proved to be a result of our error. Please note that we are unable to exchange items (however, if you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, then the following applies.

In addition, we will only issue partial refunds for the return of certain items, including:

  • · Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • · Any book that has obvious signs of use.
  • · Any CD, DVD, VHS tape, or cassette tape that has been opened (taken out of its plastic       wrap).
  • · Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts.

RETURN OF GIFT. Gift recipients are permitted to return items they received as a gift even if the order was not marked as a gift at the time of purchase. Just indicate the item is a gift at the time of return, and we'll send a museum store gift certificate for the amount of the returned items to the e-mail address you specify. Returns of a gift are subject to the foregoing general policy limitations

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE RETURNS. Did you receive a damaged or defective item, or you received the wrong item or an item you did not order? Contact the museum by e-mail or phone. Please indicate the number of items you're returning, the reason for return, and whether you would like a refund or a replacement item sent to you.

SHIPPING. Shipping is normally via Priority USPS (2-day) within the United States. Orders will normally be shipped within 72 hours of your processing. Contact the Jackson County Museum if you wish special overnight or international shipping.
