Won't You Join With Us?
Ansel BriggsB

Welcome, Friend!

This isn’t the 1850s when I was Governor of Iowa and certainly you all can not be residents of my li’l ole home town of Andrew. But if you are visiting me here now you have some interest in us and in our great state - and we in you. Well, new friend, my ole good friend, Asher, and I ask you, would it not be good for you to put that interest to productive use? Why not join with us? Don’t you agree that your contributions, whether financial or otherwise, can help us all, past, present, and future, to better know and understand one another - to the benefit of us all? Well then, please accept my personal invitation to join in our quest for that knowledge and understanding. I look forward to meeting each of you and enjoying your company.”

Here are some things you’ll need to know -

What’s In It For You? You get to join hands with fine people from all over the country in the selfless and worthwhile endeavor to preserve our Upper-Mid-west and Jackson County history and heritage. You get the opportunity to put your shoulder to the wheel to help to achieve success in important projects, to create displays and exhibits spaces, manage the affairs of the museum, raise money, put on events of import, and to just plain have fun with the likes of Bob Sheets, Tom Schueller, Larry & Marcella Heneke, Evelyn Fagerland, Alvin Barten, Erma Christiansen, Ted Mays, Jerry Rasmussen, and many others great and small who share this common historical interest and your values. You will also get reduced prices on merchandise and events as well as the chance to learn many historical things as you work or attend our various lectures, programs, and a tax deduction every time you donate an artifact or other item to the museum. You can research and write publications, help others with research, AND you get our informative quarterly newsletter, TIMELINES either electronically or via snail mail or both. Don’t you agree that these are great benefits?

Well, friend, that’s it in a nut shell and I’m sure you have the picture. Despite our age differences, ole Ansel looks forward to having you join me and all of us for the betterment of everyone. In your more “modern” vernacular, click HERE to begin the process.
